Dutch Blockchain Week is preparing for its ninth edition, taking place from May 17–23, 2027. Following a successful 2026 edition, the DBW Main Summit will once again be hosted at the Johan Cruijff ArenA on May 19 & 20, bringing together the international digital asset industry for two days of business, content and networking.
Amsterdam will once again become a meeting point for professionals working across digital assets, finance, payments, blockchain and technology. Throughout seven days, Dutch Blockchain Week 2027 (DBW27) will bring together companies, institutions, investors, entrepreneurs and industry leaders through a combination of major industry events, networking opportunities and community gatherings.
Since its introduction in 2019, Dutch Blockchain Week has developed from an initiative focused on connecting the Dutch blockchain community into an international business event. Now entering its ninth edition, DBW has established itself among the top three European events for blockchain and digital assets.
With the dates and venue confirmed, preparations for DBW27 are officially underway.
Looking back at a successful 2026 edition
The return to the Johan Cruijff ArenA follows an important milestone for Dutch Blockchain Week in 2026.
For the first time, the iconic stadium hosted the two-day DBW Main Summit, while more than 40 additional events took place across Amsterdam throughout the week. Together, these activities attracted thousands of professionals from the Netherlands and abroad.
The 2026 edition brought together a broad range of organizations, including cryptocurrency exchanges, financial institutions, payment providers, investment funds, market makers, regulators, infrastructure companies and technology businesses.
On stage, attendees heard from representatives of international companies and organizations such as Visa, Kraken, Bitwise, Mastercard and Chainlink, alongside policymakers, regulators and other industry leaders.
Beyond the content, DBW26 demonstrated the value of bringing different parts of the industry together in one city. From meetings and business discussions to private dinners and community events, the entire week created opportunities for professionals to build relationships and explore new collaborations.
The experience and momentum of 2026 provide the foundation for an even stronger edition in 2027.
The Main Summit returns to the Johan Cruijff ArenA
On May 19 & 20, 2027, the Johan Cruijff ArenA will once again welcome the DBW Main Summit.
Over two days, the venue will bring together professionals from across the digital asset and financial industries to exchange knowledge, explore new developments and establish valuable business connections.
The 2027 Main Summit will feature two official stages, each offering a different experience.
Main Stage
The Main Stage will be dedicated to the industry’s most important conversations. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions and interviews, executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers and international industry leaders will share their perspectives on the developments affecting digital assets, finance and technology.
Amsterdam Stage
The Amsterdam Stage will provide space for more specialized content, with company presentations and focused discussions covering individual markets, emerging technologies, regulatory developments and practical industry applications.
Together, both stages will offer attendees a combination of broader industry perspectives and detailed insights into specific areas of the market.
Networking and business development will remain central to the Main Summit experience. Throughout both days, attendees will have opportunities to connect with potential clients, partners, investors and other professionals from across the industry.
Seven days of events across Amsterdam
Although the Main Summit forms the centrepiece of Dutch Blockchain Week, the event extends far beyond the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
Between May 17 and May 23, Amsterdam will host a wide variety of events organized by companies, partners and communities from across the ecosystem.
These will include industry discussions, networking drinks, private dinners, meetups, investor gatherings and other opportunities for professionals to meet in different settings throughout the city.
This week-long approach is an important part of what makes Dutch Blockchain Week different from a traditional two-day conference.
Instead of limiting interactions to the Summit itself, participants can arrange meetings, attend events and continue conversations throughout the entire week.
The official DBW27 event calendar will be expanded over the coming months. Companies and communities interested in organizing their own events during Dutch Blockchain Week will also have the opportunity to submit them for inclusion in the calendar.
Building on the momentum of Dutch Blockchain Week
The success of 2026 marked an important moment in the development of Dutch Blockchain Week, but the ambition extends well beyond a single edition.
As the organization explains:
“2026 showed us what Dutch Blockchain Week can become when we bring the industry together for an entire week in Amsterdam. Moving the Main Summit to the Johan Cruijff ArenA was an important step for us, but it was never meant to be the finish line.
For 2027, we want to build on that foundation. Our focus is on bringing even more of the digital asset, financial and technology industries together, while keeping the business opportunities and personal connections that have always been at the heart of DBW.”

Bringing digital assets, finance and technology together
The ninth edition will continue to strengthen Dutch Blockchain Week’s position as a business event connecting the digital asset industry with the wider financial and technology sectors.
DBW27 is designed for professionals from exchanges, banks, payment providers, investment funds, market makers, infrastructure businesses, regulatory bodies, professional services firms and technology companies.
The content will address developments that are increasingly connecting these sectors, including:
- Digital assets and institutional adoption
- Stablecoins and payment infrastructure
- Tokenization and financial innovation
- Regulation and compliance
- Custody and market infrastructure
- Artificial intelligence and emerging financial technologies
While the event continues to expand its professional and institutional audience, the blockchain and Web3 communities remain an essential part of Dutch Blockchain Week and its wider network.
By bringing these different groups together, DBW27 aims to create opportunities for knowledge exchange, new partnerships and business development across the industry.
