Fredrik Ahlgren

Dr. Fredrik Ahlgren is the CEO and Co-founder of Sourceful Energy, Europe’s leading DePIN energy project building the world’s largest decentralized virtual power plant. With a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering and AI, Fredrik bridges the gap between blockchain technology and renewable energy systems.

An early builder in Helium’s IoT network, Fredrik’s Web3 experience shaped his vision for transforming global energy infrastructure through decentralized technologies. Under his leadership, Sourceful Energy has secured $3.7M in funding (post-seed) from an impressive investor lineup including Variant Fund, Borderless Capital, Helium Foundation, Crucible Capital, and strategic energy investor Eviny Ventures.

Before founding Sourceful Energy, Fredrik was a visiting professor at University of British Columbia, secured €2M+ in research funding, and established the IoT Lab at Linnaeus University. His background includes nine years as a naval technical officer working with complex submarine systems.
